Longevity Exercise Physiology and Personal Training Drummoyne, EdgecliffMarrickvilleCastle HillRandwickPymbleKingsgroveNeutral Bay and Coburg are this week engaging with ESSA’s Exercise Right Week highlighting the importance of seeking individualised and tertiary-qualified advice for exercise, health and sporting needs.

Disrupt the Pop Culture and Promote the Science

One of Longevity Exercise Physiology and Personal Training’s core values is ‘Disrupt the Pop Culture and Promote the Science’. This fits in wonderfully with this year’s Exercise Right Week campaign. In today’s world, there is a lot of misinformation in regards to diagnosis, treatment, exercises and what is the best modality or options for a specific health condition or goal. Longevity Exercise Physiology wish to help you to make the right choice for your health.

Who are Exercise Physiologists?

Exercise Physiologists are allied health professionals with a minimum 4 year university degree. They focus on exercise as medicine for a wide range of chronic conditions and injuries. That is why with the broad range of expertise, they can prescribe exercise for anyone who walks in the door. Regular conditions referred to Exercise Physiologists are heart disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, mental health, and musculoskeletal injuries, to name a few.

Exercise Physiologists also understand how to prescribe exercise for co-morbidities, such as a medical history of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and knee osteoarthritis. There are many considerations to take into account when someone presents with a condition/s, however, an Exercise Physiologist will conduct a thorough health screening and create goals specifically to your individual needs. Exercise Physiologists understand a new diagnosis can make you feel confused and worried, particularly if you search Dr Google, however, we will do our best to educate you with what this means and how exercise will help, easing your worries and concerns.

A big part of Longevity Exercise Physiologists aim is to prevent further disease or co-morbidities, and therefore we set long term goals to maintain independence and quality of life.
