Longevity Home Visits

Longevity has four established gym-based locations in Edgecliff, Lindfield, Marrickville and Randwick but our Allied Health Practitioners can also come and visit you! If you are in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner west or Northshore our Exercise Physiology home visit service could be ideal for your health and treatment needs.

A home visit can be a great way to supplement your current gym sessions and help you fit that extra session into your busy weekly schedule. It could also really benefit a member of the community who is less mobile and unable to access a clinical environment.

A home visit can be conducted at your home or an external environment such as a near-by park. Our Clinical Exercise Physiologists are fully covered by insurance for all indoor and outdoor locations. We can supply necessary equipment, integrate some of your own and even get creative with the local park bench or the kitchen counter.

There are many exercises that can be performed in a home-based setting and therefore a wide range of health conditions and injuries that can be treated. A home visit could help you with increasing mobility, assist with frailty, falls risk management and improve your quality of life. Exercises could also help manage injuries, chronic pain, metabolic conditions such as diabetes and joint conditions such as osteoarthritis.

Your Clinical Exercise Physiologist will follow the fundamentals of a Longevity Exercise Session and will educate and help you implement the physical activity guidelines. A home visit session will still start with a detailed initial consult and exercise prescription will be individualised and consider health conditions and goals.

A home-based exercise session will still contain the elements of a Longevity exercise session including stretching, mobility exercises, specific rehabilitation exercises, strength training and cardiovascular elements.  Your exercise physiologist will educate you on posture and technique whilst showing you the best ways to implement exercises into your routine so that you can also perform them independently.

Home visits can be performed though Medicare, DVA, NDIS, privately (with a health insurance rebate) and depending on your referral or goals, can be exercise physiology based or focus more on personal training.

Who do you know what we can visit? It might be Mum/Dad, An Aunt or Uncle, a work colleague, friend or an elderly neighbour?
