Welcome Longevity’s new team members Vaishnavi and Rachel!
Longevity Exercise Physiology Edgecliff, Pymble, Randwick, Marrickville, Drummoyne, Bella Vista, Balmain, Neutral Bay, Coburg and Canada are very excited to welcome our two new Exercise Physiologists Vaishnavi Pasupati & Rachel Booker to our Longevity team!
Vaishnavi
Vaishnavi is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and will be joining the team in Bella Vista (New Image Personal Conditioning). Vaishnavi has recently completed her Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales, which she uses in conjunction with her background in yoga and her experiences treating patients with various neurological conditions and during musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
During her time as an Exercise Physiologist, Vaishnavi has worked extensively with DVA, NDIS and private clients, amongst others, to design tailored programs to help clients manage their conditions and achieve their goals. She has particular interest in the areas of neurological conditions and diseases, women’s health and paediatrics.
Vaishnavi is a strong believer in the importance of incorporating exercise or physical activity into your daily routine, and making physical fitness accessible to all, regardless of their health status or previous experience with exercise. She also believes in a holistic approach to exercise, and due to her own lived experience and the experiences of those around her, fully appreciates the importance of mental health as well as physical health.
Having grown up in the Bella Vista area, Vaishnavi feels quite at home with the local community, and finds the staff at New Image to be very warm and welcoming to both her and her clients. Outside of work, Vaishnavi is also incredibly passionate about music, art and dance and loves performing and teaching regularly.
Rachel
Rachel is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist will be working out of our Randwick location delivering Exercise Physiology and Personal Training services. Rachel grew up locally in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, studying Dance and Classical Ballet. Rachel trained as a dancer until the age of 18 and has participated in a number or sports including Netball and Soccer. Rachel enjoys leading an active lifestyle with special interest in strength and conditioning training, CrossFit and weightlifting.
After rehabilitating various injuries as a dancer, Rachel went on to study Exercise Physiology at The University of New South Wales, to pursue her passion for exercise therapy in injury and chronic disease management.
Rachel has experience in private practice delivering evidence-based exercise interventions to a diverse range of target conditions including injury rehabilitation, chronic disease management, neurological rehabilitation, pre and post pregnancy exercise, intellectual disability, mental health conditions and healthy populations. Delivering both one-on-one sessions and group exercise classes including seniors’ strength training and CrossFit coaching.
With her compassionate nature and close attention to detail, Rachel has been able to take amazing care of all her clients. Rachel believes that exercise can help people of all ages and abilities to lead a healthier, happier lifestyle.
Areas of special interest include working with musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation, disability and women’s health. Outside of the gym Rachel enjoys walking her dogs, hanging out at the beach, travelling overseas and spending time with family and friends.
Rachel is eager to spread her knowledge and passion for the use of exercise as medicine in everyday life. Her goal is to cast a positive impact on people’s health and wellbeing in the local community.
