Meet our Exercise Physiologists
At Edgecliff, we are now a team of seven! Courtney, Ellen, Shannon, Guy, Nate, Grace and Jake are all experienced with clients of a wide range of ages and clinical backgrounds. They enjoy creating new programs, unique to each of their clients, to help you achieve your health and fitness goals and have fun while you’re doing it!
Our team leader, Courtney, enjoys working with clients with Arthritis (particularly Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis) and Multiple Sclerosis. She has also recently completed a certification in mat work Pilates, to complement her exercise prescription. Courtney knows just how intimidating the gym environment can be, especially for those new to exercise, so she loves working with her clients to build their confidence with gym-based training and make exercise a lifelong habit.
Ellen plays NSW Premier League netball and has an interest in helping clients with cardiovascular conditions and Dementia. She is a strong believer in the principle of ‘movement is medicine’, and always tries to find ways to keep her clients active and moving every day!
Shannon enjoys working with clients with different neurological conditions, with an emphasis on improving their quality of life. She believes education is a very important part of the service she provides, and integral to fostering the best relationship with her clients.
Guy has a background in competitive swimming, and more recently, powerlifting. He is very passionate about helping people with different musculoskeletal conditions live more independently and happily.
Nate specialises in helping people manage long COVID symptoms and mental health conditions. He has seen with his clients how profound an effect exercise can have on improving psychological wellbeing and aims to make enjoyment a big part of his prescriptions.
Grace and Jake are the newest members of the Edgecliff team. Grace has a keen interest in chronic pain and falls prevention. She likes working with her clients to find exercises they enjoy, to make her sessions more fun and engaging! Jake comes from a competitive rugby league background, and is particularly interested in the benefits of exercise for neurological populations, metabolic conditions and Osteoporosis.
