Gym Return Update – Be Prepared for Next Week
From Monday, 15th June Longevity Exercise Physiology and Personal Training Services will be back inside Gyms in our 5 Locations across Sydney.
All our gym locations, gym staff and Longevity Team Members have been working overtime to ensure an efficient, safe and clean transition.

Talk to your Exercise Physiologist about securing a permanent time slot and put some structure back into your exercise routine and week.
Rules/Regulations/Changes for all Locations:
- Machines and equipment rearranged and strategically distanced
- Strict cleaning and hygiene practices (your Exercise Physiologist will help take care of this for you)
- Professional cleaning services regularly on site
- Tap and go payment or online invoicing services to limit exchange of cash and physical touching
- You will be denied entry if you feel unwell and/or suffering from fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat and shortness of breath; have come in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 14 days; have travelled internationally in the last 14 days. If you test positive for COVID-19 please notify us immediately.
- Wipe down all equipment with disinfectant before and after use. Your EP will assist with this during sessions, but also take responsibility during independent gym use.
- You MUST bring a towel
- Bring with you any other protective items you feel you may wish to use, i.e gloves
- Social distancing of 1.5m and positioning yourself in a minimum 4m square floor space whilst working out.
- Sanitise your hands upon entry and exit (Hand sanitiser will be located at several stations around the gym)
- Strict measures to prevent overcrowding – Book in your EP sessions in advance, consider avoiding “busier” gym times.

Location Specific Updates from our Team Leaders:
Edgecliff – An Update from Team Leader, Angela
Longevity Exercise Physiology and Personal Training Edgecliff are ready to return to gyms. With spots filling fast, the team are so excited to be back within a gym setting, continuing to help people manage and achieve their health and fitness goals.
Regenesis Fitness is ready to go with a new floor layout having more space between equipment allowing for social distancing, more wipe stations have been fitted as well as hand sanitisers at the ready. Regenesis Fitness have also taken this time to freshen up the gym with newly painted walls.
We will be taking all precautions to wipe down equipment before and after use as well as maintaining social distancing to keep our members and clients safe.
Jarrat, Angela, Ashleigh, Courtney and Mitchell will be back in from June 15 and can’t wait to see you back in too!
Lindfield- An Update from Team leader, Daniel
The Longevity team at Lindfield (Daniel and Courtney) are very excited to be re-entering the Hive Active gym from the 15th of June. This will allow us to do what we love and do best, which is guide our clients to a happier and healthier life through exercise. So that the entire community stays safe while exercising in the gym we will be adhering to Hive Active’s COVID safety plan.
Specifically, at Hive Active:
- All clients must entire via the glass door entrance, not the roller doors.
- You will be required to have your temperature checked prior to exercising (if you are above 37.5 degrees you will not be allowed to train)
- Hive Active Classes will be capped at 14 people and there will be a maximum of 50 people in the gym at any one time.
- Communal chalk will not be available
- Shower facilities will be closed
- There will be an extra 15 minute sanitation period between Hive Active classes, floor sanitation and a disinfectant fogger machine between classes.
Randwick, Marrickville and Drummoyne – An Update from Team Leader, Dylan
Longevity Exercise Physiology Randwick, Marrickville and Drummoyne are eager to return to gyms. During the last few months, our clients in these locations have been experiencing new forms of treatment/training such as bodyweight loading, use of powerbands and plyometrics.
Plus Fitness Drummoyne and our other locations have be working tirelessly over the last few weeks to ensure the entire facility is cleaned, all equipment is appropriately spaced and even more sanitation and wipe stations have been added.
New equipment such as Hip Abductor/adductor machines, weighted hip thruster machines, fresh dumbbells and new floor space has been added.

Dylan will be back Monday the 15th and looks forward to aiding in all injuries, goals and future plans!
