Introducing Josh! Our New Exercise Physiologist!
Today Longevity Exercise Physiology Drummoyne, Edgecliff, Marrickville, Bella Vista, Randwick, Pymble, Balmain and Neutral Bay are excited to announce one of our newest team members, Josh! Josh works out of our Pymble location.
Experiences in Josh’s early life steered him towards choosing to study Exercise Physiology at university because it combines his three greatest passions:
1. Health
2. Helping people
3. Exercise
Healthcare is in Josh’s family – both his parents and older brother are healthcare professionals.
After school, Josh would sit in the waiting room of his mum’s Speech Pathology clinic while she was finishing her day. Josh would interact with her clients while they were in the waiting room. He remembers seeing the improvements in their speech after a few months and it inspired him to help people.
Josh was absorbed by sport since he was a toddler. While he was growing up, Josh played an array of sports including soccer, cricket, rugby and tricking. Josh learned the importance of commitment to a serious training when he captained his representative cricket team during his teen years.
After completing high school, Josh chose to study Exercise Physiology at Sydney University. While Josh was studying, he used the concepts learned in his degree to prevent injuries and improve the performance of the gymnasts that he was coaching. In his 7 years coaching gymnastics, he founded his club’s first Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) program. Within the second year of the program, all of his MAG athletes were competing at state level.
His skills are especially well developed in improving the lives of people with physical and intellectual disabilities. Additionally, Josh has a particular interest in helping children and teens with growing pains
After completing his degree, Josh gained invaluable experience working with chronic conditions at an allied health clinic on the Northern Beaches. Josh loves nothing more than to help people achieve their health and fitness goals. He’s experienced with healthy clients and medically complex clients. His skills are especially well developed in improving the lives of people with physical and intellectual disabilities. Additionally, Josh has a particular interest in helping children and teens with growing pains.
