City2Surf 2024- The Blue Tsunami Out in Force!
Last weekend, our team joined many others in the iconic City2Surf event, held in Sydney’s CBD and Eastern Suburbs. This event highlights not just individual accomplishments but also the power of community spirit.
This year marked Longevity’s second participation in the event, and we not only achieved fantastic results but also created more memorable moments than ever before. Most importantly, it was a celebration of our clients and the tremendous effort they’ve invested to reach this milestone.
With over 70 of our clients and Exercise Physiologists joining in on the event, the day was filled with inspirational moments and collective joy. Whilst some of our members chose to run the course, with others opting to walk and soak in the vibrant atmosphere, each and every approach highlighted the spirit of the event.
Exercise Physiologist Natalie captured the essence of the day perfectly, saying,
“It was my first experience at the City2Surf and it was such a great turn out, witnessing clients from all our locations cross the finish line side by side with the biggest smiles.”
This sentiment was echoed by the incredible results we saw from both our clients and Exercise Physiologists.
A standout performance came from Exercise Physiologist Ashleigh from Casey, Canberra, who completed the course in a personal best time of 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 20 seconds. Not to be outdone, our Director Jarrat Wood took on the challenge with an extra twist—running the race with his daughter and stroller in tow.
One of our clients, Michael Najem from our Kingsgrove location had this to say about the day,
“I was dragged into participating in the City2Surf for the first time and it was a phenomenal experience. The Longevity team made everyone feel so welcome and really celebrated everyone’s results in such a supportive way. Great job to everyone involved. Ready to go again next year!”
After the race, we gathered at Bondie Corner Cafe to celebrate our hard work and the day’s successes. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie as team members and clients trickled in for breakfast. Each arrival was met with applause and cheers, highlighting the supportive and enthusiastic community we’ve built.
This day was not just about individual achievements but also about the collective spirit and encouragement that define our team. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength and unity within our community, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone’s accomplishments.
