The New Grad Experience at Longevity!
Today, Longevity Exercise Physiology Drummoyne, Edgecliff, Marrickville, Castle Hill, Randwick, Pymble, Kingsgrove, Neutral Bay, and Coburg, have asked one of our new graduate Exercise Physiologists what they have enjoyed most about their experience at Longevity so far.
“Like many other new graduates, I came out of university after many years of hard study not sure exactly what to expect, or where I wanted to go. I applied and started at Longevity Exercise Physiology which has been the best thing for my career!
Longevity have put a tremendous amount of effort and time into my personal and professional development. They have helped me discover what I want to get out of my career, as well as my strengths and weaknesses as an Exercise Physiologist.
I have weekly company-wide, location and 1-on-1 meetings with my team leader, to ensure I am on track with the goals I set for myself. I’ve also received lots of high-quality constructive feedback which I have been able to implement and improve my skills as an Exercise Physiologist.
Something I was unsure about when graduating, was whether to specialise within a specific area, such as musculoskeletal injuries or metabolic disease. At Longevity, I have been exposed to a wide variety of clients from chronic pain, to post-cancer treatment rehab, as well as clients under different systems modalities such as WorkCover, NDIS, DVA, Medicare and Private clients. This has allowed me to have a variety of experiences which I hadn’t been fully exposed to throughout my placements at university.
Another great benefit of Longevity is the fantastic teamwork and culture, not just within my location at Randwick, but with the whole team.
Everyone in the team is also always happy to jump on a call and discuss anything, from discussing client strategies to career advice. I initially found adjusting to full time work difficult as it is very different from full time study. Having a large team around me who genuinely want the best for me has helped me immensely with this transition.
If you’re a recent Exercise Physiology graduate, I would highly recommend applying for Longevity due to the amazing career guidance, support and team culture that I have received.
