Welcome back Susannah!

Longevity Exercise Physiology Drummoyne, EdgecliffMarrickvilleBella VistaRandwickPymbleBalmain, Neutral Bay, Coburg – Melbourne, and Barrie, Ontario – Canada welcome back Susannah, our team leader at our Pymble location after her maternity leave earlier this year.

From Susannah:

It’s certainly been an eventful ride having my two small children, my eldest, Oscar was just under two years old when our little girl Laila was born at the end of 2021. I felt so fortunate to be in a position where I was able to take 12 months to spend quality time raising my family. Like all new parents it was very exciting to get to know our little girl and see how the relationship between her and her older brother developed. I can say with confidence, second time round, all the newborn things were much easier to handle. There were (and still are) plenty of new challenges and ups and downs with raising two little humans.

Having their grandparents close by is very special and it is lovely to see their relationship blossom over this past year. It was such a privilege to also catch up weekly with a close group of friends who also have little ones and discuss the highs and lows of parenthood. We went to various zoos around Sydney, cafes, play centres, and all the typical places you find groups of mums! Between 4 of us, we managed to keep six little toddlers and babies happy during these outings (lots of snacks is the key!).

As I mentioned before, I am extremely grateful to be able to have had this experience, and to have the support of Longevity Exercise Physiology behind me. Longevity has proven to be a very family friendly working environment, with flexibility to help fit in around family. It was great to catch up with what’s been happening within the business and see the team grow to 29 team members! I am looking forward to getting to know the team even better, especially working closely with Josh and Grayson at our Pymble location.

“Having good health is so important and being healthy and strong to keep up with my kids, now and in the future is something that would resonate with every parent.”

A short time before I was due to return, I was offered the role of Team Leader which was a wonderful opportunity, and I feel very humbled to have been considered for this. Longevity is a place that offers outstanding support for professional and personal development, clinical development and a great sense of teamwork and giving back to the community. I couldn’t think of a better place to be.

Having good health is so important and being healthy and strong to keep up with my kids, now and in the future is something that would resonate with every parent. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings, and how I can help my local community in Pymble achieve better health outcomes.
