Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Bio

I was born and raised in Canberra, where my parents migrated from Fiji. Growing up, my parents instilled a strong emphasis on education for my brother and I. However, it was at Canberra Grammar School (CGS), I fell in love with exercise, playing football (soccer) and cricket.

Being first-generation Australian born in our family, physical activity and sports opened a whole new world for me, forming lifelong friendships and memories. My love for sport unfortunately came with injuries, and trips to see varying health professionals. This inspired me to pursue exercise physiology, as I am driven by the prospect of extending my impact on the community, by furthering movement being medicine.

At age 22, I sustained a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The greatest challenge I had to overcome as part of my TBI rehabilitation, is that everything I used to be able to do, now has an unknown outcome until I try to complete it. Over the course of my recovery, I have learnt to change how I think, and develop strategies to continually and progressively empower myself. Exercise has helped me live with my invisible health condition. It serves as an anchor in my life.

Being a present time clinician with my own patient lived experience, I am passionate in supporting you through your health journey. One step at a time, I’ll be there by your side.
