Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Bio

I grew up as a very active child with major interests in swimming and dancing. I was heavily involved with the competitive dance and ballet communities competing in local and national competitions. This allowed me to travel and perform as well as be involved in numerous music videos, performances and photoshoots. This ceased after ongoing hip issues requiring surgery and a lot of rehabilitation where my fascination with movement as medicine was established.

I also encountered a series of 10 broken bones between the ages of 4 and 14 that put a damper on a lot of my training. This was diagnosed as Idiopathic Juvenile Osteoporosis and treated with exercise based principles very similar to those that I love to deliver to this day. I also have two incredible older brothers both with Autism Spectrum Disorder who have taught me invaluable lessons about communication and inclusion. This has lead to my two major passion areas of Exercise Physiology being osteoporosis management and working with individuals with disabilities.

I have since graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology. During my studies and prior work experience, I have gained insight into cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, mental health and metabolic conditions.

My wish is to prescribe individualised exercise that is specific, achievable and enjoyable. I strive for a collaborative approach working together for the best health outcomes for all of my clients long term.
