Lessons, Growth, and Goodbyes: My Final Week at Longevity
Hey, it’s Charlie. I’m in my first year at the University of Sydney, studying a Masters of Exercise Physiology, and I’m back again for another week in review of my placement at Longevity Marrickville. Let’s see how my last week here at Longevity treated me…
This week I had my last sessions with some great clients that I have had the pleasure of training and getting to know for the last 6 weeks. A sad goodbye, definitely, but I feel great knowing that they are progressing towards and in some cases already smashing their goals. Thanks to the EP’s here at Longevity Marrickville, they continued to challenge me and give me more opportunities to have more responsibility during client sessions and beyond.

I continued to work on areas of improvements I had picked up on in my weekly performance reflections, and felt that this last week I had really improved greatly on all of the areas of improvement noted from week to week.
On Wednesday night I had the pleasure of attending a team dinner with the wider Longevity team. Here I met Jarrat Wood, the director of Longevity, who along with the rest of the team made me feel very welcome. I learnt some invaluable information from Jarrat about business, life, overcoming adversity and also how to continue improving as an exercise physiologist. I’ll definitely take these tips and tricks into my final year of study to come out the other side of University in the best possible position to start my career.
On that note, over and out from me. It’s been a pleasure.
Thanks for reading my weekly blogs. I would definitely recommend Longevity for a student placement or internship if you are interested in progressing your career in a supportive environment.
