Bio

I grew up in Costa Rica and discovered my love for sport at age 9 through swimming. Over the next 12 years, I proudly represented Costa Rica in multiple world championships and was part of the pre-Olympic team. My passion for sports and a desire to deepen my knowledge led me to Australia, where I pursued my dream of studying Exercise Physiology.

Competing at a high level came with its challenges, including injuries and setbacks, which gave me firsthand experience of the resilience needed to recover. I often reflect on how valuable it would have been to have someone guide me through those struggles, which now fuels my passion for helping others on their own journeys.

After retiring from swimming, I felt lost until I discovered strength training, eventually transitioning into powerlifting for several years. More recently, I shifted my focus to endurance sports, now training for marathons with the goal of attempting an Ironman in the near future.

As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, I blend my athletic background with evidence-based practice to help individuals of all ages and abilities. I’ve worked with clients managing chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain, and mental health challenges, as well as young athletes looking to develop their potential and older adults seeking to maintain independence.

While I initially aspired to work in high-performance sports, I have since found a deeper purpose in using exercise to improve people’s quality of life. I believe movement is a powerful tool that, when tailored to individual needs, can empower people to overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and build a healthier future.
