I work with people to help them identify the postures, habits and tasks in their everyday life that, over time, build up and develop into problems. I use a combination of treatment techniques tailored to your particular needs and select exercises and stretches that will help prevent relapses.
I am consulted for a wide range of problems. I treat common musculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and nerve impingements.
My first degree in Sports Science, work on the medical staff of the Australian Athletics Team and in fitness training with Tennis NSW (as well as all the injuries I have personally suffered) has given me a thorough background in sports injuries and their management. At the other end of the spectrum, I have co-authored a paper outlining a treatment approach for pregnant women, written content for motherhood websites and spoken at schools, new mum groups, and national sporting associations.
My post-graduate education has focused on training in the development and implementation of more gentle cranial techniques. These are suitable for any age and condition, but particularly for babies and children. I have completed all 8 levels of the BioDynamic Approach to Cranial Osteopathy run by Dr James Jealous and have been fortunate enough to work for 10+ years alongside Dr Roman Maslak and Dr Peter Kash who both have 30+ years experience working in Bondi Junction specialising as cranial osteopaths.
Combined with more direct techniques aimed at improving structural mobility and performance in everyday tasks, alleviating pain and restoring pain-free function, I am able to customise a treatment style to select which techniques will suit your particular condition.
