My Final Week – How My Journey Shaped Up on the Longevity Internship in Ascot Vale, Victoria
Hey! My name is Sevannah and I’m currently an intern at Longevity’s lovely Ascot Vale location in Victoria.
I’m sad to say that this will be my last blog ever, as this is my last week! The feeling is bittersweet because I’ve loved getting to know the clients and working with this wonderful team. But I’m excited to see how these skills will transfer into the real world.
The internship has taught me a lot about myself and how I can have an impact on someone’s life. And the sad goodbyes throughout the week have been constant reminders of that.
It’s helped me build my confidence, refine my skills, as well as collaborate with other like-minded people. An opportunity like this is hard to come by but so incredibly worth it.
I’ve had experiences that are outside the usual placement experience. I led meetings with other students, met with other allied health professionals with the hope of building meaningful relationships, and even tried out some marketing stuff – which was definitely out of my comfort zone but I loved it!
These things are on top of leading sessions, making adjustments and programming for clients, and building rapport with clients. The opportunities are endless with this internship and I couldn’t recommend it more.
I’m very grateful for the experience that I’ve had at Longevity, can’t wait to see what’s in store for me in the future!
We’d love to offer you an opportunity in our 2026 Longevity Paid Internship Intake! Applications are Closing on the 30th of May.
