Annabel’s Story:

Annabel has loved playing a range of sport since she was very young growing up on the gorgeous Northern Beaches. She has participated in swimming, Waterpolo, basketball and touch football for majority of her life. She also played soccer, which led to two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee injuries, in 2016 and 2017.

In 2016 the same year she was completing her HSC, she suffered her first ACL injury playing soccer which led to 12 months of rehab with a physiotherapist with the goal to strengthen her lower limb muscles to get her back to the sport she loved. Upon returning to soccer 12 months later, she suffered the same injury to the same knee resulting in another 12 months of rehabilitation. Since this injury, this led her to delve into a career in the health and fitness industry, in the hope to support others going through injuries and conditions like herself.

Annabel completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Technology Sydney and completed her Exercise Physiology Master’s degree at The University of Sydney finishing in 2021. Annabel has learned how to manage her own condition, both physically and mentally, and uses her own personal experience as a motivator and encouragement for others dealing with a chronic condition. She is passionate about working with individuals with cancer and metabolic conditions and looks to assist individuals lead a healthy and happy life.
