Billy Smith
Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Bio
Billy is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science completed at the University of Technology Sydney, and a Masters in Exercise Physiology completed at the University of Sydney.
Growing up in Sydney’s Inner west Billy has an extensive background in exercise, throwing himself into any and all sports available to him such as soccer, AFL, cricket, swimming, and basketball. After completing his undergraduate degree, team sport was put on the back burner to pursue a new career in the fitness industry as a fitness and gym class instructor. This is where a love of strength and group exercise was discovered, as well as homing in his skills in injury rehab through exercise.
Not being able to keep himself away from team sport, you will now see Billy on the netball court, where he has competed a University Nationals as well as representing NSW at the Nationals, earning silver medals at both of events (still waiting for that gold).
With experience in injury rehab, metabolic, respiratory and mental health conditions, Billy’s ultimate aim is to implement exercise into everyone’s daily routine and create a personalised plan that addresses a client’s goals and overall heath. He prides himself on ensuring exercise is not a topic of concern or burden for individuals, but a source of enjoyment and pleasure in achieving the best long-term and sustainable outcomes for their health.
