Bio

I grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and played a wide range of sports including AFL, touch football, water polo, basketball, cricket, rugby league, rugby union, OzTag, surf lifesaving, and surfing. I spent four years in the Sydney Swans Academy, where I developed a strong passion for training and performance but also experienced my fair share of injuries, particularly knee issues, calf strains, and groin injuries. Spending so much time in physiotherapy throughout my teenage years sparked a strong interest in injury rehabilitation, movement quality, and how exercise can be used to help people recover, stay active, and perform at their best. These days, I love staying active through strength training in the gym and playing social touch football and OzTag for general fitness. Outside of work, I’m a massive Manly Sea Eagles fan and love chatting footy — or just about any sport for that matter.

My motivation to become an Exercise Physiologist was shaped early in life after one of my closest high school friends passed away from cancer at just 14 years old. This experience
inspired a strong passion for helping people living with chronic illness and for the role exercise plays in building longer, healthier lives. I recently completed my Honours research as part of my four-year Exercise Physiology degree at the University of Sydney. This involved designing and implementing exercise programs for children aged 5–18 who are cancer survivors, as well as conducting physical fitness assessments to better understand their health and wellbeing — an experience I found incredibly rewarding. I also have a significant family history of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes, particularly among my grandparents, which has reinforced my passion for disease prevention. I enjoy working with people across the lifespan, from children through to older adults, and have previously worked in an aged care facility where my grandparents lived, which deepened my appreciation for supporting older people to maintain independence and quality of life.
