Bio
Branden Lowe grew up in rural NSW in Albury, where an active lifestyle and a love of sport shaped who he is today. From AFL, hockey and basketball to tennis, soccer, volleyball and athletics, he embraced every opportunity to compete. Along the way, he found that consistent discipline beats intermittent hard work or natural skill.
Like many young athletes, Branden also experienced the setbacks that come with sport. As a teenager, he worked through Osgood-Schlatter disease and persistent lower back pain into his 20’s. Those experiences introduced him to rehabilitation and showed him the value of the right guidance, patience and persistence. They also sparked an early curiosity about the human body and the role exercise can play in helping people overcome challenges.
His passion for athletics eventually led him to represent Australia in Canada in 2015, where he earned a spot on the podium for both Shot Put and Javelin. With a love of sport and science, pursuing Exercise Science seemed like the obvious next step. Like many students entering the profession, Branden imagined his future working with elite athletes.
It wasn’t until his university placements at the University of Canberra that his perspective changed. Working with everyday people recovering from injury, living with chronic health conditions and rebuilding confidence made him realise he had been chasing the wrong goal. He changed his degree to Exercise Physiology.
Branden is passionate about helping people become 1% better than they were yesterday. He enjoys working with people from all walks of life and while he still enjoys working with athletes, he has a particular interest in supporting those living with anxiety and other mental health challenges.
He believes that every person is capable of more than they realise, and that with the right support, patience and optimism, progress is always possible.
