Exercise for NDIS Participants
Longevity Personal Training and Exercise Physiology Edgecliff, Marrickville, Randwick, Lindfield and Drummoyne and ONLINE are available to service you through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The NDIS funds costs associated with disability. This provided by the Australian Government. Last year, the NDIS made changes to the scheme. Thus, Exercise Physiology is now available in the ‘Improved Daily Living’ and ‘Health and Wellbeing’ categories. So what does this mean for our clients?
Accessibility
It’s a great time to start increasing your physical activity. Why is this? Because the global pandemic has presented a change. Whilst social distancing has presented new measures, it doesn’t restrict your exercise. Accessibility to Personal Training and Exercise Physiology is better than ever. We can now service you online via Telehealth, at your home or in a park. Thus, this can keep things convenient and easy for you. We have experience with using equipment or props that you have around your home. Therefore, exercise can be can be implemented between supervised sessions. It’s also a long lasting activity. It can be done for years to come. Our Exercise Physiologists ensure that all safety measures are adhered to.
Who we treat through the NDIS
Longevity can treat a range of NDIS patients. This includes those with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, agenesis of the corpus collosum, intellectual disability, autism spectrum, brain injuries and stroke patients. Your condition may not be on this list, but it doesn’t mean we can’t help you. Why is this? Because we can treat a range of other conditions privately. We can also support other schemes. This includes Chronic Disease Management Plans, WorkCover, DVA, and many others. If your condition isn’t on the list, please get in touch. We can help and we’d be happy to assist you.
