She grew up locally in the Eastern suburbs and attended nearby St Vincents College, Potts Point where she was involved in all sports and captained the first IV soccer team. She played premier league soccer throughout her teens, but decided to put her boots aside to focus on getting into the university course she was most interested in, Exercise Physiology.
“She grew up locally in the Eastern suburbs and attended nearby St Vincents College, Potts Point where she was involved in all sports and captained the first IV soccer team”
After a year of studying Exercise Physiology at The University of New South Wales, her father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a common neurological disease that effects both movement and balance. This shook Shannon and her family but in turn further ignited her passion to improve the health and quality of life of individuals living with neurological chronic conditions.
She now has a specific interest in working with individuals suffering from these conditions and also has experience working directly with musculoskeletal injuries. Shannon provides her clients with evidence based individualised exercises and programs related to their needs and believes educating her clients is the most important factor of a successful EP-client relationship.
She is a positive and relatable member of the Longevity team who is excited to use exercise to better her client’s lives.
