Private Health Rebates and Exercise Physiology
Longevity Exercise Physiology Edgecliff, Lindfield, Marrickville, Randwick, Drummoyne, Balmain and Bella Vista are Allied Health Professionals who offer and accept private health rebates.
Exercise Physiologists specialise in the delivery of exercise for the prevention and management of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and musculoskeletal injuries.
When is the best time to use my cover?
You may see some health businesses encouraging you to “use up” your private health cover before the end of the year, as come January 1 majority of health funds will re-set and you can receive further rebates for that calendar year. Today, however, Longevity Exercise Physiology want to promote you to use it when you need it. Your private health rebate is always available, and you should ask yourself the question of “What do I need help with?” and utilise services as required. If your cover was to run out, Longevity Exercise Physiology will continue your service, as we know that your health is priority one.
No referral is required to claim a private health consultation. HICAPS is available for on the spot claiming for all in-gym/clinic consultations.
How much will I be covered?
We are often asked, “How much will be covered?” The best way to find out is to check with your own health fund. There are many different funds and different coverages within each fund. You will need ‘extras cover’ to claim for Exercise Physiology services. Health Funds include Bupa, Medibank, HCF, Nib, Teachers Health Fund, GU Health, etc.
Claiming

Home visits and Telehealth consults are applicable for rebates, however you will receive a receipt after payment to then claim through your health fund either via online, the app or in store.
