Celebrating International Women’s Day

Ever wondered how exercise can help with independence?

This International Women’s Day, Longevity are celebrating all our incredible female clients who have taken control of their health and well-being, empowering themselves and the other women around them to take back independence through exercise.

Zoe, our Exercise Physiologists in Drummoyne, asked two of her female clients how exercise has helped them on their road to independence

Sue-Ella: “From training at longevity I have the confidence that I can complete tasks I couldn’t before, such as running without fear of falling or injuring myself”.

Jennifer: “If I’ve made a mistake, the mistake is that I didn’t start exercising earlier. I have become so much stronger to the point where I am able to walk better”.

There is a strong connection between exercise and maintaining or regaining independence. By strengthening not just muscles and bones, but also unlocking new found confidence. Exercise can also help to elevate mood, sharpen cognitive function, and boost energy levels to embrace life’s journey with a renewed sense of self-reliance and autonomy.
