Work closely with the Director of Longevity and our Leadership group to be mentored and accelerate your career as we pass on the skills to not only be a great Exercise Physiologist that provides World Class care to your clients BUT is directly involved in the strategic business direction as Longevity continues to expand and change what exercise physiology offers our communities.

Longevity now has 10 locations across Sydney, Melbourne and Canada and has a reputation amongst the Exercise Physiology and Exercise Science industries for having amazing teamwork, challenging work and rapid career progression for high performers.

Job tasks and responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering World Class Accredited Exercise Physiology services (Private, Medicare, SIRA Workcover, DVA and NDIS)
  • Building long term community relationships
  • Accelerating the performance of the whole company (significant performance-based team rewards)
  • Recording data and reporting to the Director of Longevity
  • Strategic and Referral Partner Marketing

A passion for teamwork, building relationships, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing and general business skills is highly recommended. 

 

Skills and experience

Once graduated, applicants must have:

  • ESSA Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist
  • Registration and Provider Number with Medicare
  • Registered with SIRA Workcover NSW
  • Working with Children Check for Employment 
  • Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
  • Appropriate Visa and rights to work unrestricted in Australia

Recently I have had many discussions with clients regarding their nutritional habits. As usual, most of these discussions centre around weight loss but with a recent, new twist. I am finding that some people are becoming a little confused by what is healthy and what is low in calories so in this article I strip the confusion back to the basics. 
 
We need to eat for 2 reasons: No. 1 is to consume all of the vitamins, minerals, fibre, carbohydrates, protein and fat that is essential for our body’s optimal function; No. 2 is to fuel our body with sufficient energy to complete all tasks sufficiently. The best place to start for anyone looking to refine their diet in regard to either of these 2 aspects is www.eatforhealth.gov.au. Here you will find the Australian Dietary Guidelines based on an extensive review by Australia’s best doctors, dietitians and research scientists.
