Longevity has been providing personal training and exercise physiology services for over 10 years to the Eastern Suburbs community. Our Exercise Physiologists are NDIS registered to provide a gold standard of clinical exercise interventions to help improve the health and wellbeing of clients under the NDIS who have permanent and significant disability, from children and adolescents to adults aged under 65.

Funding for exercise physiology will come from the improve health and wellbeing and improve daily living categories within the capacity building budget of your NDIS plan:

We work with a wide range of NDIS clients including those with:

  • Progressive neurological conditions (Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease)
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Autism spectrum
  • Down’s Syndrome
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Stroke, traumatic or acquired brain injury

  • And many more!

We also treat a range of other conditions privately (with private health rebates) and support other schemes including DVA, Medicare and WorkCover.

  • Telehealth (online via video)

Whether it’s an early morning sunrise or a relaxing afternoon session, our clients love the variety of exercise options available, and the team at Longevity can help you decide the best option for your needs. We also have experience using equipment that you have around your home to help you exercise safely between supervised sessions.

Why see an Exercise Physiologist?

For those with a disability, exercise is much more than becoming a little fitter. An exercise physiologist will help you improve your quality of life by:

  1. Building strength, function, and fitness
  2. Improving your physical and mental health
  3. Preventing further health conditions
  4. Becoming more independent and make activities of daily living easier
  5. Increasing community engagement and social skills e.g. participation in sports

Longevity’s AEPs are professionals at evaluating, designing, and delivering safe and effective exercise programs tailored to your specific needs, preferences, and goals.

What to expect when working with an Exercise Physiologist?

We will be with you every step of the way, progressing at a suitable pace to match your ability and fitness level. Our aim to make exercise as fun and enjoyable as possible and we love to get creative with physical activity by incorporating games, challenges, and sport specific movements.

Types of training we use include:

  • Cardio Training
  • Resistance (Strength) Training
  • Functional exercises
  • Flexibility and Mobility
  • Balance

Longevity believes trust is a big key to success, which is why we aim to build long-lasting relationships with each and every client. To provide the best possible outcomes for NDIS clients, Longevity has developed strong connections with many service providers and support coordinators, and we hold weekly team meetings in which the skills of all our team members are utilised during case discussions.

How to get started
