Lessons and Growth: What a Paid Internship Week at Longevity Looks Like: Week 9 in Ascot Vale, Victoria
Hey! My name is Sevannah and I’ve just finished my 9th week of my part-time internship at Longevity’s Ascot Vale location in Victoria.
This week I’ve begun to learn more about myself about how I want to conduct myself as an EP. I’ve realised that I am great with my people skills, I can get to know people quickly and build rapport within a session or two. But I had struggled with being authoritative. I struggled with my confidence in sessions where the clients’ personality type was more direct and assertive. And this week I have felt so much more confident and assertive with these clients. I have realised that I am the health professional and I have the best advice and interest of the client.
Huge win for me this week, I made one of my client’s smile and laugh and this client is incredibly hard to read. Like we all, celebrate the small wins!
I’m loving building connections with like-minded people. The team at Longevity are each other’s biggest supporters and it is incredibly refreshing to be part of. It is a constant reminder that I chose the right pathway.
Not only this, the absolute impact that these people are having on other’s lives is unimaginable and just super impressive. The whole environment is really uplifting and makes me excited for the space I’m about to head into
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the last few weeks!
