From the Gym to the Marathon Arena: Celebrating Our Longevity Team at Sydney’s Biggest Run Events

It’s what we do every day at Longevity Exercise Physiology, helping people prepare for their walks, jogs, runs, marathons, and fitness goals through personalised, evidence-based exercise.

But over the weekend, the roles were reversed.

Instead of coaching from the sidelines, many of our own Longevity team members and clients laced up their shoes and took on some of Sydney’s biggest endurance events, including the Sydney HOKA Half Marathon and the Western Sydney Ironman.

Seeing our team, clients, friends, and wider Longevity community pushing themselves outside their comfort zones was a powerful reminder of what consistent training, support, and determination can achieve.

Whether it’s your first 5km event, a Half Marathon, or an Ironman, these moments reflect what we value most at Longevity — movement, community, resilience, and long-term health.

From Team Leader to Half Marathon Queen

Leading our Pymble location, balancing a busy career, social life, and motherhood with two young children and still managing to complete TWO Half Marathons in just three weeks, Susannah has been nothing short of inspiring.

After recently completing the Canberra Half Marathon, she backed it up again at the Sydney HOKA Half Marathon this past weekend, showcasing the power of consistency, preparation, and discipline.

Training for endurance events while balancing work, parenting, recovery, and everyday life is no easy task. But Susannah’s achievement is a reminder that exercise does not have to stop when life gets busy.

With the right support, personalised programming, and a sustainable approach to training, incredible things are possible.

At Longevity Exercise Physiology, we often work with busy parents and professionals who feel like they don’t have enough time to prioritise their health. Stories like this show that movement doesn’t need to be perfect it just needs to be consistent.

Congratulations Susannah, your determination inspires both our team and clients every day.

Celebrating Our Longevity Team & Community

A huge congratulations also goes to our incredible team members and clients who took part in the Sydney HOKA Half Marathon over the weekend.

The atmosphere, community spirit, and support throughout the course were truly incredible, and we are so proud to see members of the Longevity community representing strength, resilience, and commitment to their health goals.

Congratulations to:

  • Grayson Kieran (Pyrmont Location Leader)
  • Ajesh Sharma (Edgecliff Team Member)
  • Elliot Grossberg (Edgecliff Client)
  • Lachlan Du (Pymble Team Member)
  • Bhautik Joshi (Marrickville Client)
  • Jackson Brennan (Edgecliff Team Member)

We also know there are many quiet achievers throughout our Longevity community who participated over the weekend and we want you to know that we see you and we are incredibly proud of you too.

Events like these are about much more than finish times. They represent months of commitment, early mornings, training sessions, setbacks, discipline, and personal growth.

Research consistently shows that participating in endurance events and structured exercise programs can significantly improve cardiovascular health, mental wellbeing, confidence, stress management, and long-term health outcomes. More importantly, they often create a strong sense of connection and community something we value deeply at Longevity Exercise Physiology.

“The Energy Was Better Than Any Gel”

One of our standout performances came from Pyrmont Location Leader, Grayson Kieran, who achieved an incredible personal result on race day.

“It was so surreal running the course seeing teammates, clients and friends cheering me along the way. The energy that gave me was more than gels ever could. I’m stoked with my time of 1:33:49 which smashed my big goal of 1:35:00. The months of training paid off! Bring on City2Surf.”

Moments like this are what make these events so meaningful.

At Longevity Exercise Physiology, we believe exercise is about more than physical outcomes. It’s about confidence, community, resilience, and achieving goals you once thought were out of reach.

Ironman Harry: A Huge Achievement

A massive congratulations also goes to Harry Footit, one of our team members across the Edgecliff and Neutral Bay locations, who completed the Western Sydney Ironman over the weekend in an incredible sub-6-hour time.

Completing an Ironman requires extraordinary commitment and preparation — balancing swimming, cycling, running, recovery, nutrition, mobility work, and mental resilience over months of training.

Behind every race day result are countless early mornings, long rides, recovery sessions, and sacrifices.

Harry’s achievement is an amazing example of the consistency and discipline required to perform at such a high level, and we could not be prouder.

Why Training Matters: The Benefits of Structured Exercise

At Longevity Exercise Physiology, we believe in practising what we preach.

Exercise is not just something we prescribe to our clients, it is something we genuinely value and prioritise within our own lives. Whether it’s preparing for a marathon, improving strength in the gym, training for an Ironman, rehabilitating an injury, or simply finding ways to move consistently through busy schedules, our team understands firsthand both the challenges and rewards that come with committing to your health.

That lived experience is a huge part of what makes the Longevity community so special.

We understand that training is not always linear. There are early mornings, setbacks, busy periods, motivation dips, soreness, injuries, and moments where showing up feels difficult. But we also know the confidence, resilience, energy, and sense of achievement that movement can bring because we experience it ourselves.

At Longevity, we do not believe exercise should feel like punishment. We believe movement should empower people to live healthier, stronger, and more fulfilling lives for the long term.

Whether your goal is to start running for the first time, complete your first Parkrun, improve your running performance, prevent injuries, or prepare for a major endurance event, having a structured exercise program can make a huge difference.

At Longevity Exercise Physiology, we help clients with:

  • running performance
  • strength and conditioning
  • injury prevention
  • mobility and recovery
  • marathon and endurance event preparation
  • return to running programs
  • rehabilitation after injury
  • improving confidence with exercise

Personalised Exercise Physiology programs can help improve:

  • cardiovascular fitness
  • muscular endurance
  • movement efficiency
  • recovery
  • injury resilience
  • confidence and motivation

Most importantly, we help people build sustainable exercise habits that support long-term health, performance, and longevity.
