Paid Internship is Coming to an End – Weekly Recap from Sevannah at Longevity Ascot Vale
Hey guys! My name is Sevannah, I’m currently an intern at Longevity’s amazing Ascot Vale location in Victoria.
I’ve just finished my second last week of my internship and had such a fun week. Started the week off strong with meeting other allied health professionals in the area to try and build a two-way referral relationship. It was so interesting talking to physiotherapists that have the same passion and goals as us.
Jacob, one of our full-time exercise physiologists at Ascot Vale, did such a great job building a relationship with the team, really working together to see how we can collaborate as professions to get the best results for our clients; definitely taking a note out his book.
Throughout the week, I was able to have more autonomy in my sessions with clients, developing a deeper connection with them and being able to challenge them in comparison to previous weeks. I’ve enjoyed seeing their progressions and again, it’s continually reminded me of why I love what we are doing.
It has been so lovely seeing some of the clients begin to trust me with their health and wellness and it’s so rewarding. The confidence this comes with is also not possible without the support of the team here in Ascot Vale, as well as Coburg.
I’m hoping to take this energy into next week and bring my best for my last week! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for next week!
