Longevity City2Surf Client Success Stories

Longevity Exercise Physiology, Drummoyne, Edgecliff, Marrickville, Castle Hill, Randwick, Pymble, Kingsgrove, Neutral Bay, and Coburg,   had some fantastic client results recently as part of this years City2Surf. The energy on the day was phenomenal, this certainly helped spur on the 40 person strong Longevity team, with everyone completing the full 14km.

The stories behind our clients and why they decided to do the City2Surf this year with the Longevity Team are inspirational.

We had clients of varying backgrounds and fitness levels committed to lining up on race day, all for different reasons and motivations. Some have been training with Longevity for years, others, have only just recently started working with our Exercise physiologists and are at the beginning of their exercise journey. For many of our clients, it was the first time they ever participated in the City2Surf. We feel privileged that these individuals chose to achieve their health and fitness goals with Longevity.

Beth has been training at Longevity Exercise Physiology  Drummoyne, with Georgia for several years. Beth had never done the City2Surf before and was nervous about lasting the distance. Together, Georgia and Beth set to goal that she would aim to run at least 50% of the course. Safe to say Beth well and truly exceeded expectations.

“What a day! I did my first ever City2Surf with the gentle encouragement of Georgia and the Longevity team. I surely doubted myself, but with her enthusiasm and belief, I not only completed the course, but ran the entire way. The camaraderie and friendship really made it a fun and memorable experience.” *Beth

Emma’s client at Neutral Bay,, Emily, registered for the City2Surf as soon as entries opened. A few weeks later, she was diagnosed with MS. Understandably, Emily was feeling very lost, it wasn’t until she began working with Emma that she got back on track with her exercise. Emma and Emily planned initially planned for Emily to walk the City2Surf due to limited preparation. However, in the 6 weeks leading up to the event, Emily began running again and they updated her City2Surf goal. The plan was to run 2km and use the online map to figure out where would be best on the course to run, where there was medical support nearby. Emily texted Emma all throughout the race and ended up running the first 4km and another 4km across the rest of the race! No symptoms during or after, no pain. Only side effect was a BIG SMILE.

We asked a few of our other clients and family members who completed the City2Surf how they found the experience with the Longevity Team.
