Bio

I grew up on the mid north coast in a town called Bellingen. Growing up on the coast cultivated a love for the ocean and outdoors. From a young age I found myself loving what sport and exercise did for my mental health and confidence. I began playing netball from the age of 8 and quickly became heavily involved in the sport playing representatively and coaching.

I always enjoyed being able to understand the anatomy of movement, which is what drove me to complete my bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science. During this degree I was further exposed to the multitude of ways exercise can help populations living with chronic health conditions and in turn the Exercise Physiology profession. I completed my Masters of Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney.

Throughout my studies I have been able to experience the positive impact exercise has upon individuals with cardiometabolic conditions, ageing adults, youth and within the mental health sector. I believe exercise is not only an amazing tool for assisting in the prevention and management of chronic health conditions and injuries but is also essential in the management of positive mental health. I hope to be able to support people in finding ways to move their body to not only aid in maintaining positive physical and psychological health but to also continue to partake in activities of passion throughout life.
